I would like to let you know that I have decided to leave Medstat. My last day will be April 20th.
I have enjoyed the last eleven years that I've worked here, and I've learned a lot since I started back in my early twenties. I am excited about my new position, but I will miss working with all of the people that I've met over the years.
I will also miss the projects that I've worked on. One of the things that I've done on previous projects was gone through the header comments which have been made in all of the various source code I've worked on, from the fortran programs that I've worked on when I first started, then on Illumina and Modeler, and next on Panorama, and then Decision Analyst and NetEffect, finally in the Rules Engine project. So, it's kind of comforting to know that things that I've worked on will still be used in the years to come (and that people will look through the comments and say "That dec2221 guy was a weird one, wasn't he?").
I also know that I'll be a bit jealous of the new projects that will come out, "Oh, that sounds like it would have been a nifty thing to work on." The projects I'll be working on for the new company sound exciting, though, so I am definitely looking forward to them. It's going to be a stretch for me to live up to what they'll be expecting, as well as the challenge of meeting a whole new group of people, but I think I am up to it. So, wish me luck!
You'll still be able to contact me at my home email address of [my email here] , feel free to drop a line.
